Disable welcome emails

This feature is only available to organization owners and administrators.

By default, Zulip sends two emails to new users when they join, telling them their Zulip account details, encouraging them to download the apps, pointing them at our new user guide, and teaching them about topics.

You can disable these emails if they don't make sense for your organization.

Disable welcome emails

  1. Click on the gear () icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app.

  2. Select Manage organization.

  3. On the left, click Organization settings.

  4. Under Automated messages and emails, toggle Send emails introducing Zulip to new users.
